Shocking development today as former UNI Panther standout Grant Stout will have heart surgery tomorrow. This from the WCF Courier:
Stout's family doesn't want to reveal the particulars about the
diagnosis or what the surgery entails, but Jacobson said the procedure is
expected to take four hours. After that, Stout is expected to be hospitalized
for four to five days. Doctors believe the recovery period will be six to eight
weeks.
Wow. One minute you're trying to jumpstart your basketball career overseas, the next you're on a plane back home for open heart surgery. Godspeeed, Grant. Godspeed. One can only hope and pray for a successful operation and the ability to get back on the court in the future. If hoops isn't in the future, at least we still have a class act with us today.
